Last Saturday 3 August 2024, the Doncaster Dolphins Masters Swimming Club celebrated an Olympic themed Coffee on the Deck Cafe with Susan Peta “Sue”•McKenzie (-Harbottle)
Sue is a 1968 Mexico Olympics swimmer and long-standing member and instructor of the Doncaster Dolphins! Sue showcased her original Olympic blazer and a replica of the Olympic Torch which she held during the Manningham Council 2000 Olympic torch relay! Sue competed in the 100m and 200m Breaststroke and was only 17 when she headed to Mexico for her first Olympics.
The Dolphins dressed up in Green and Gold colours and embraced the Olympic spirit and camaraderie.
