We are thrilled to announce that we’ve set a date for the health club upgrade which has been scheduled between Wednesday 13 December 2023 to Friday 22 December 2023.
Here are some key details about the upcoming gym refurbishment:
Wednesday 13 December 2023: Gym floor will close and upgrade begins.
Saturday 23 December 2023: Gym reopens.
During this period, the first-floor gym will be closed. This makeover will include an entire equipment upgrade, plus new flooring, exciting splashes of colour throughout and a different layout to provide a more accessible and zoned training experience for our entire community.
You will see all new cardio equipment and new weights equipment with heaps of new accessories and a designated wellness space, thanks to industry leader Life Fitness.

- Daily walking groups leaving from Aquarena everyday at 9am.

Short term access to Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre in Greensborough – 44 Civic Dr, Greensborough 18 minutes from Aquarena.
- Enjoy access to the fully equipped gym during the closure thanks to the support of Nillumbik Shire Council.

The gym upgrade is aimed at enhancing and improving the facilities to provide a better experience for our members, including new equipment and an improved layout.
The duration of the upgrade is expected to be closed for one week only while we complete the works as quickly as possible.
The gym will be completely closed during the upgrade to ensure safety and efficient work. We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage you to use our other facilities during this time.
Absolutely, the swimming pools will remain open and accessible for our members throughout the gym upgrade.
While you will continue to have access to our group fitness classes and swimming pools during this time, we’ll also be adjusting the facilities available at The Pavilion to ensure you can stay active. For more information, stay tuned to our email updates and social media pages.
We’ll have a dedicated weights area in The Pavilion out by the 50m pool, which will be available at select times. Alternatively, you’ll also be permitted to use the gym at Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre (44 Civic Dr, Greensborough).
Our gym will reopen to you on Saturday 23 December 2023.
Prior to the upgrade we’ll be handing out free 21-day trial passes inviting you to bring a friend down to the club for free when we reopen the gym on Saturday 23 December 2023.

Your membership fees will remain the same during the upgrade, and we will ensure that you continue to have access to a wide range of fitness options.
Unfortunately, with the gym under renovations, we won’t be able to provide any personal training. However, you will be able to continue your fitness in any of our group fitness programs.
Simply check in at the main reception with the friendly team and they can find your membership using your member band, or personal details.
Nothing is being removed that isn’t being upgraded or kept. We’ll also be adding some new items to the gym!
