We’re pleased to share a further update as we prepare for the redevelopment of Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
Closure of Outdoor Facilities
The final day of operations for the outdoor precinct, including the 50-metre pool, café and pavilion, will be Easter Monday, 6 April 2026.
In the days following, site establishment will begin. While you may not see major construction activity immediately, there will be important early works taking place, including site testing and preparation.
What This Means for Members
All indoor facilities will remain open and available throughout the redevelopment period, including:
- Indoor pools
- Health club and gym
- Group fitness programs
We are committed to maintaining continuity of service and minimising disruption wherever possible.
What to Expect Over the Coming Weeks
In preparation for the closure and to support ongoing services, you will begin to see some changes across the centre:
- The existing childcare space will be transformed into a dedicated Group Fitness studio, including installation of a new audio system
- Cycle bikes will be relocated into this space to support group fitness classes
- A wide range of Group Fitness equipment (excluding large strength machines) will be moved to create a flexible and functional training environment
- The group fitness studio corridor area will receive a refresh, helping to brighten and enhance the overall member experience
- A smaller café service area will be constructed in the foyer, offering coffee and convenient grab-and-go food options, with our friendly café team still there to welcome you with a smile!
These temporary adjustments are designed to ensure we continue delivering a high-quality program while making the most of our available indoor spaces.
