We have some exciting news! Aquarena will soon be offering virtual fitness group exercise classes in main studio during off-peak times.
This new offering is here to complement the already existing Group Fitness Program and will not replace any of the already existing classes. Commencing in June, we will have an additional 47 classes on the group fitness schedule each week. Jump in and experience the class for yourself!
We have added the following programs to the virtual sessions:
Les Mills Body Pump, Les Mills Body Combat, Les Mills Body Attack, Les Mills Body Balance, Les Mills Core, Les Mills Grit Strength and Les Mills Grit Cardio and Les Mills Dance.
The benefits of virtual fitness are as follows:
- Great opportunity for members that cannot make their favourite live class and come into do a virtual class as an alternative, this can also encourage members to stay consistent to their routine.
- Excellent way for members to try out Group fitness classes if they do not have the confidence to come to a live class and gives them a wider range of workouts.
- A great back up for when all resources are exhausted to find a cover instructor for a class that needs an emergency cover.
- Classes can be repeated so members will not miss out on doing their favourite workout.
- Members can trial new programs that are not listed on our timetable and if they are popular, we could possibly add a live class to complement our timetable.

Virtual fitness involves workout sessions displayed on a screen, allowing participants to follow along with pre-recorded classes or trainers. It encourages more people to participate in group exercise, even if they wouldn’t normally attend in-person classes.
We at Aquarena understand how busy people’s lives can be. Virtual fitness allows increased flexibility to exercise with more options for our members to attend their favourite classes throughout the day. These classes will be running in off-peak times when there are no instructor-led classes. Complementing the already existing instructor led group fitness classes.
Definitely not – We are committed to provide live instructors as the ultimate expression of our classes at Aquarena. Nothing can compare to the amazing experience each of our group fitness instructors create in every class. We know that a recording can’t reach the heights that our instructors can with building personal connections and providing one-on-one coaching. Virtual provides greater options for our members to attend group fitness classes outside of peak times when instructors aren’t available.
Les Mills Body Pump, Les Mills Body Combat, Les Mills Body Attack, Les Mills Body Balance, Les Mills Core, Les Mills Grit Strength and Les Mills Grit Cardio and Les Mills Dance are currently available in the Les Mills Virtual format.
Participants receive proper instruction on safety and technique as the classes are based on regular programming and instruction and feature additional safety guidelines at the start of the workout.
